Year 12
18 weeks level 1 course. Content that will be covered includes a basic introduction into forming joints; using hand tools and basic machinery; bending pipes; soldering of joints; understanding hot works; health and safety issues as well as an introduction to the skills required to complete the level 2 course.

Assignment 009 Removing and refitting water filled radiators.
Assignment 010 Working with non-manipulative fittings.
Assignment 128 Bending and jointing copper pipes.
Assignment 131 Installing rainwater goods.
Progression onto City and guilds level 2 Diploma in Plumbing 6035 -02
Vocational training in advanced health and Safety in the workplace, gaining a thorough understanding of in site communication, reading drawings as well as carrying out plumbing operations to industrial standard

Progression learners can now move into industry as a practicing carpenter supported by achieving CSCS test supported by our staff at the centre.
Year 13
Learners can return to achieve a level 3 Diploma in Carpentry or a multi-tradesman tech course, including the construction safety card scheme to enable entrance into the industry once level 3 course is complete.
Assessment
Practical units to be passed and underpinning knowledge evidence to be completed through on line and written tests.

Career Progression
Learners will move into the construction industry as a practicing plumber with the knowledge and skill set to perform plumbing operations to industrial standards.
Learners will have the potential to become self-employed contractor working on commercial and residential plumbing contracts.
